**We took a chance ordering this online but it had such great reviews we were confident it would be a great purchase and we weren’t let down! This is the ONLY dog bed he has actually ever slept in, it’s supportive for his aging hips and the cover is very soft which just adds to the coziness.
* *This particular bed is the XL size, which fits perfect for my German Shepherd. He loves the headrest and has plenty of room to stretch out. I highly recommend this bed.
** So far so good! My Great Dane seems to appreciate his elbows are no longer digging into the hardwood floor. Expensive but worth it for my big guy… Wouldn’t you say? Love the warranty!
** UPDATE: I have had this dog bed for a year now, and it is still wonderful. It is my 12-year-old lab’s favorite place to spend her time. It is so easy to clean. I’ve really only needed to vacuum it and wipe it with a damp cloth. Haven’t even had to take the cover off.
The bed is still in good shape and just as perky as the first night she slept on it. I really think it helps her to get a good night sleep. She gets up in the morning with fewer aches and pain than she would have otherwise. She is also less grumpy at bed time than she was before we got the bed.
I usually sit with her on it for a few minutes before she goes to sleep now, and we have some quality time while I talk to her and pet her before bed. I hate to see my little girl getting older, but I am happy to be able to spoil her in her senior years. This bed is so worth it!
This dog bed was worth every penny
**I don’t usually write these but this was worth every penny. I wanted to wait a little bit before I reviewed this, just so I would be able to speak from real experience. We bought this as an alternative to buying a futon mattress for our one year old Great Dane, and he loves it.
Heck, I love it. I’m actually a bit jealous. Just to give you an idea of how well this thing works compared to the “large dog breed” beds they have available at pet stores (which are a joke for those of us with barking horses):
In less than a week after we got the Big Barker, Bear went from waking up at 4 am every morning to sleeping all night. And now he gets up from lying down without having to stretch like he’s trying to realign his hips.
