The size of 40 inch bed is actually the outside dimensions. The outer size of 40″L x 29″W has and inside dimension of 30″L x 18″W, the bolster is 9″H, the cushion is 8″H. This size bed is perfect for large dogs 45 – 70 lbs.
The base of round bagel bed is made of waterproof 300/600 Denier for any unwanted accidents or spills. The dog bed is stuffed with a Premium High Loft Polyester Fill and is fully machine washable. Warm wash, tumble dry on low.

**Oh my gosh! Here’s a testimonial to this bed….I don’t write over zealous reviews like this for dog items..lol..BUT!!! Never seen anything like it…my older male boxer…75 lbs is absolutely obsessed with this bed! He was “hooked” as soon as we opened the box…We’ve tried been sooo many…and he just didn’t seem that comfortable…restless. We can’t go from room to room without this bed…
**This Majestic Pet 40-Inch Sherpa Bagel Bed is the bomb. It’s SO sturdy! None of that flimsy craftsmanship like those cheap discount beds you find in stores for about the same price as this beaut, regretfully, been there, done that.
**My dog has literally eaten five different dog beds, including all the ones that claim won’t be eaten. We have relegated old blankets to become her “bed” but after feeling guilty, decided to give this type of bed a whirl, as it was listed on some list of top dog beds.
After un-boxing, I shook it out, and our dog immediately laid down in it like she knew she belonged. She has never taken to anything so quickly, except maybe a steak dinner. She now prefers to sleep in her bagel bed over snuggling with us on the human bed or couch.
We definitely recommend this bed to picky dogs and their picky owners. We haven’t had to wash it yet, but it doesn’t have a removable cover, if that’s the kind of thing that deters you.

10/10 wish I had got it years ago at this price and the quality it is unbeatable. Wanted a big comfy bed for my 8 year old Staffordshire bull terrier (pit bull size 65LB) and enough snuggle room for my shih tzu. Both fit perfectly with room to spare.
**8 months later and this dog bed is still going strong! This is the longest I have ever had a dog bed without it being completely gross or destroyed and it is still in excellent condition and has been washed and dried many many many times. A real winner!!!!
Cons of this dog bed….
**only down side…cover is not removable for washing..but the others that had removable covers..lost their shape after first wash..all one piece. So you need a super large capacity washer/dryer..or to bring it to laundromat.
I keep it lined with a small thin blanket to extend the time between washes….ok..I know…its a dog bed….but, wow…he’s so content…not on the couches…life is good with this bed!
**The downside to the beds is the fact that they do not have a zipper to wash the cover separately from the filling, but for the price who cares.
There is a laundry mat close to our house and every couple of weeks I go in and use their largest machine to wash these beds in and then I come home and put them out back to air dry and they come out looking like new.
Very soft, love the material of the mesh around this. HOWEVER, there’s no way to pull apart the bedding from the bed walls, which means you have to fit this entire thing into your washer. This DOES NOT fit into my washer b/c its a very nice sized bed.
Disappointed that you can’t detach the bedding to clean, over priced b/c of that reason.
-Although not the only negative comments it does seems the biggest complaint with this bed is not the bed itself, but when it comes to washing it.
If you decide this is the dog bed for you maybe you’d want to consider putting a cover of some sort inside to protect the original cover. Some have been successful with the washing of it but others have not.
